This revolutionizes the way I call my Ubers.

I think the idea is great, but I just tried to use it in Georgetown (Washington, DC), and it told me to relocate to the middle of the Potomac River to avoid surge pricing.

Well done! Just hope Chicagos Mayor doesnt try to also come after Surge to collect City TAX!

No matter where I use this app, I only receive a "No Luck" response. Guess theres no reason to keep this app…

This app told me to walk just two blocks to get away from the commute direction to get my Uber. Saved about $25 on my first use of the app. Please add price comparison with Lyft also.

Good app idea, but I havent gotten it to have much success finding a lower surge (vs. non-surge) area

This app shows you the closest non-surge area, which is usually a block or two away. Extremely helpful...especially on a weekend night.

Ive tried this app twice when there was surge pricing on uber. The first time, it told me to avoid surge pricing by requesting an uber IN the Charles River. The second time, it recommended walking almost 2 miles from my current location, not even to avoid surge pricing but to find a 0.4 drop in the surge rate.

Every time uber is surging, this app isnt working. 6th times a charm????

No uber , Then, No more surge price ! Get a yellow cab app, all free without any over charge ! Dont understand why the people have money buy a smart phone, but no money pay for a cab.

My first ever app review… I use Uber from time to time, but had never been hit with Surge pricing until I realized I paid over $50 for a short cab ride due to 2x pricing. Enough of that. Downloaded SurgeProtector and ended up walking only a block to escape the surge pricing and got home on the cheap. Heavily recommended.

Thank you for doing this. So helpful. I echo anothers suggestion of adding price comparison with Lyft if possible.
